There’s no better way to see the beauty of an area than by scenic railway, so we’re proud to be involved with the revival of Mr Henderson´s Railway.
This marvellous piece of Andalusian heritage was once relegated to people´s memory, but we’re now bringing it back to life. Our tours encompass the old glories of the original Victorian experience with a modern twist that you will love.
The train passes “through the picturesque countryside of such a verdant mountain range” which is so incredibly beautiful that this is one of our most popular day tours.
Our day begins at the Hotel Reina Cristina in Algeciras. See for yourself this magnificent colonial English hotel from the turn of the century and discover why the area held such appeal to Mr Henderson and the many dignitaries who visited.
After enjoying the atmosphere and gardens of the hotel, we will take you aboard the Railway to enjoy the spectacular views and scenery as you wind your way up to the hills of Ronda.
An authentic journey in every respect, the only thing that has changed is that we can now enjoy this journey aboard modern air-conditioned trains of RENFE .
Arriving in Ronda you will be met at the station before enjoying a wonderful lunch in a typical Spanish restaurant on our way back down to the Costa del Sol. (lunch not included)
