Experiences of our first Camino Mozarabe Pilgrimage

Our very first Camino Mozarabe Pilgrimage with Manni, Pablo and the ladies from America was a huge success. It turned into a truly life changing experience for all concerned and created a bond between the group that will last a lifetime. Here are some wonderful words from the ladies who walked the camino about their experience and how it has affected them.

Toma & Coe is simply passionate about the Spain you never knew! I recently completed a customized Pilgrimage of the Camino Mozarabe with 11 American yoga students who are serious world travelers. As a part of the Camino de Santiago, this first part of a Trilogy Journey extends from Malaga to Córdoba. We walked a manageable 8 miles per day but honestly there are no words to describe the detail and depth of this journey. Walking the Camino Mozarabe with 2 expert and passionate guides, Manni Coe and Pablo Navazo, was an extraordinary experience we will never forget. Our yoga group was treated to exceptional service, food, hotels, transfers, and numerous daily delights and surprises that left us inspired, informed and in love with Andalusia! The 8 day trip simply was not long enough! The good news is that our entire group plans to return again next year to walk the next stage of the Camino with Manni and Pablo. Toma & Coe (Manni, Pablo, Fernando and Diana) have left me and my Yoga Pilgrims wow’d to the soul! The BEST tour in Andalusia Spain and likely the world!

From the first moment to the last, the Camino Mozarabe trip with TOMA & COE was so mindfully planned each day seemed perfect. Manni Coe’s contacts open doors that would be unknown otherwise. My trip included yoga with Erin Fleming and additional guiding by Córdoba native Pablo Navazo Ostva which really put the trip over the top. Back home for just a minute I thought: Did all that really happen or was it just a beautiful dream?

Planned with all the precision of a military operation and all the love, care, and attention to detail of a high end concierge service; the Camino Mozarabe trip was a wonderful experience full of hiking, laughing, and learning.

I recently returned from a 9 day trip through beautiful Andalucia with this unparalleled tour company guided by Manni and Pablo. Our small group trip was their “1st” ever pilgrimage along El Camino Mozarabe. I was awed by their attention to detail, attention to the individual, attention to culture and history, attention to food and fun fun fun! Our accommodations were unique and, oh so, excellent. Manni and Pablo took us to spots so “un-touristy” that it gave us that hard to find “locals” experience each and every day. They had doors opened for us that have take years of careful cultivation by them to make happen and those experiences inspired all of us.

I am definitely returning for Part II of the “Pilgrims Trilogy”.

Recently was so happy to participate in a Camino walk with Toma & Coe on the newly “rediscovered” Mozarabe pilgrim route running south/north from Malaga to Cordoba in Andalusia. This was the finest guided tour I’ve ever attended: the preparation was extensive and detailed with close attention to all aspects which could impact our pilgrim experience. The chosen accommodations were extraordinary and the schedule of walking beautifully orchestrated for maximizing the experience. The two guides, Manni and Pablo, are some of the kindest, smartest and hardworking folks I’ve met and I would literally go absolutely anywhere in the world with them. Erin Fleming brought a brilliant dimension to the trip with yogic movement and mindful rituals. Fernando Monton was so helpful with a very efficient and fun way of handling all things paperwork. Hopefully my future travels will include another chance to join this great team on another Spanish adventure.

My father Eduardo Gonzalez, Gonzalez, Fournette, Albert, Jimenez, Cordova, Davila was Spanish and walking the Camino Mozarabe was a wonderful and unforgettable journey for me.  Manni and Pablo are the best guides and I am looking forward to continuing the walk to Santiago.

Toma and Coe operate a first class business. I recently spent 9 days with them on a Camino pilgrimage in Andalucia. They went out over and beyond in making it an authentic, spiritual experience. They are the real deal – not your ordinary tour company. I will always remember the journey. Thank you Mani and Pablo for putting your blood, sweat and tears into it.

Adventure, exploring the white villages of Andalusia, learning about the culture and Gothic architecture of the cathedrals and Moorish influence, learning about the history of Spain, hiking across the beautiful landscape of rolling hills of olives and seeing the mountain ranges that surround you, making new friends are only a few examples of what I experienced on the Yoga & Hiking the El Camino Mozarabe.  I will never forget the experience of hiking the Mozarabe with a group of women who were full of love for nature and learned to care so deeply about the well being of each other. The Yoga instructor, Erin, prepared us mentally as well as physical for each days journey and the tour guides were phenomenal also. Thank you Pablo and Manni for sharing from your heart your love for Andalusia. You truly made it a memorable experience.

As you can see it was quite an experience for all concerned, so much so that the ladies are planning a return trip next year to walk the next stage of the camino! Manni and Pablo can’t wait to do it all again.
