Foodie experiences in the Spanish Countryside

Food in Spain is among the best in the world. The Michelin capital of the world is a Spanish city! Toma Tours celebrates local cuisine and we have designed 2 very special days focusing on natural ingredients and local specialities.

The celebrated Mediterranean diet is bursting with fresh produce, superb seafood, accompanied by regional wines and sherries, and is a huge part of Spanish Culture.

Spanish cookery tours are the best way to really get to know about the interplay between food, wine and culture here in Andalucia, so if you want to learn how to cook in Spain then we have two options for you.

OPTION 1:  A COOKING DAY IN THE HILLS OF MALAGA

Our Spanish Cookery Tour which takes place in the hills of Malaga is a celebration of regional cuisine in a truly “hands on” experience.

We take you to a private home in a very beautiful area behind the city of Malaga, where you can relax into the atmosphere of a country kitchen.
You will learn about wine, olive oil, cheeses and all sorts of typical Spanish dishes.
There really is no better way to spend a day. Once all the food is prepared we settle down to a hearty feast and then enjoy a Spanish “Sobremesa”, the prolonged conversation at the end of the meal with coffee. Ready, Steady, Cook!

OPTION 2:  TASTES OF MOROCCO IN VEJER DE LA FRONTERA

Toma Tours takes you to a white hill top town which is  spectacular 2 hour drive from Marbella on the Cadiz coastline. Here we will enjoy cooking delicious Moroccan cuisine.
Vejer de la Frontera is a must-see Moorish town, and with stunning views and a delightful Moroccan atmosphere this private cooking school is one of Toma Tours’ favourite places.
You will enjoy tuition from a fabulous local cookery school, and learn all sorts of top tips whilst you prepare a typical Moroccan meal. As you cook, you will also learn about Sherry and enjoy a “Flight of Sherries” to open your appetite.
Depending on weather, lunch will either be enjoyed on the roof top terrace on in the Moorish Patio downstairs. This is a superb day out not to me missed.
