Frequently Asked Questions

What food is Malaga famous for?
From sardines flame-grilled by the open sea to churros dipped in rich chocolate, Malaga has a lot to offer. Other highlights include gambas al pil-pil (spicy prawns), albondigas en salsa de almendras (meatballs in almond sauce), ensalada Malagueña (Malaga salad), and almendras fritas (Fried Almonds).

Is this a Malaga tapas and wine tour?
The tour visits three tapas bars where you can enjoy tapas and local Malaga wines.

Can we do the tapas tour in the morning?
No, the traditional tapas bars do not open until at least lunchtime, with most opening from 5pm onwards. As you’ll also be able to enjoy local wine or beer on the tour, it’s probably better not to do the tour in the morning!

Can we do a self-guided tapas tour?
You could find your way around Malaga and enter some tapas bars, but they may not be the best and traditional tapas of the city. Plus, our Malaga tapas tour includes a walking tour providing you with interesting history and facts about the city and its food.

Reviews

★★★★★

This walking and eating and drinking tour was amazing! Our guide was professional, informative, knowledgable and entertaining. He showed us places we never would have found on our own. He told us stories about the town, the food and the culture that made the city come alive. We would do this tour again in a heartbeat. Don’t miss it!
