From the USA, there are direct flights from Malaga. The train from Malaga to Seville takes 2-3 hours depending on the time of day.

The main Cordoba patios event is at the beginning of May. However, this does become rather crowded. A week after the main event, the flowers are still in bloom and look every bit as stunning.
