Tour Summary
Discover Your Creative Spark at a Writers Retreat in Dorset
Escape to the tranquil surroundings of Mangerton House for an exclusive four-day writers retreat, led by two of today’s most captivating literary voices: Sunday Times bestselling authors Joanna Quinn (fiction) and Manni Coe (non-fiction).
In beautiful surroundings near the historic town of Bridport, this retreat is an opportunity to devote yourself to your writing, whether you’re embarking on a new project or seeking fresh inspiration for a current one.
Limited to 12 participants, the retreat offers a rare chance for intimate workshops and personal guidance from authors who know the highs and challenges of the creative process.
Across these four days, Quinn and Coe will host inspiring and helpful hands-on sessions designed to help you sharpen your writing skills and develop your creative confidence, as well as supportive group workshops with your fellow attendees. The rest of the time is your own for nurturing your creativity.
The retreat is an ideal way to make progress with your on-going project or to start something new.
Mangerton House itself, with its charming architecture and expansive grounds, provides the perfect setting to pause, reflect, and create. Choose from a variety of room options: opulent suite with freestanding bath, King-size ensuite to cosy twin rooms.
The picturesque gardens and serene corners of this beautifully appointed country retreat invite contemplation, offering you space to refine your ideas or recharge with a walk by the river. Whether you’re lounging in the cosy sitting rooms, wood-fired hot tub or enjoying a moment of quiet on the terrace, Mangerton House is a place where creativity flourishes naturally.
In addition to the workshops, you’ll have the chance to hear from a surprise guest author in an evening talk, adding an extra layer of inspiration to the experience. And as you write, you’ll be following in the footsteps of literary greats—this is, after all, Thomas Hardy country, where the Dorset landscape has long influenced writers.
This luxe retreat in a tranquil Dorset valley is your chance to get away from it all, and experience a true rural getaway. Give your busy mind time and space to switch off and your creativity flow in the deep peace of Dorset.
Following a sold-out retreat in Andalucia, this is an unmissable opportunity to connect with your writing, and fellow writers, in one of England’s most literary locations.
