About the tour
One of Europe’s youngest capitals, Madrid boasts an unrivalled energy and international appeal. Known as the city that never sleeps, you’ll surely fall victim to its energetic style of life whilst being seduced by its grandeur and old-world charm.
Leaving Marbella bright and early, we catch a high-speed train to the capital and then take a taxi to the furthest point of the itinerary. From there, we weave our way back through the historic centre, visiting places with names resonant of the city’s glorious past as we stroll: Plaza Mayor, San Miguel gourmet market, Puerta del Sol, Gran Via.
We enjoy a wonderful authentic lunch, rubbing shoulders with Madrid’s political elite at one of TOMA & COE’s favourite restaurants. After lunch, we take in a fascinating tour of highlights at the Prado, one of the world’s finest museums, featuring the likes of Velazquez, Goya and El Greco.
