TOMA & COE is a boutique tour consultant with 17 years of travel guiding experience in Spain and an impeccable track record.

We’re a small team of travel enthusiasts bound by a passion for Andalucia and are proud to call ourselves friends as well as co-workers. We are all driven by a desire to provide the very best service to our clients and unlock the secrets of this marvellous region for them in a way they’ll never forget.

Who We Are

Manni Coe

Company Director

Originally from the North of England, Manni often jokes that the stork forgot his address en route to Spain and dropped him in the UK instead. Spain, particularly Andalucia, has always been the place he considers home. Manni has lived in a variety of places in Spain throughout his 18 years as a resident, including Huelva, Seville, Cadiz and Marbella. He has a wealth of experience as a guide and travel consultant and knows all the hidden corners and secret places Andalucia has to offer.

My Favourite Place in Andalucia: Somewhere between the villages of Antequera and Archidona- where I live. The landscape is absolutely breathtaking and it’s completely off the tourist track. It’s authentic Spain at its best!

My Favourite Spanish Dish: Definitely ensaladilla rusa – or russian salad- which is a chilled tapas made with potatoes, eggs, tuna and mayonnaise. I especially love the version with gambas– prawns.

Favourite Part of My Job: Having the opportunity to share my passion for Andalucia with people and seeing them fall under its spell is incredible: it’s like watching the start of a love affair, every time!

Operations Manager

Fernando is a native of Andalucia, heralding from the beautiful coastal town of Malaga. He is passionate about his land and loves showing visitors all it has to offer. Fernando handles all the arrangements and reservations for our clients and has an unending supply of knowledge when it comes to what to see and do in the region.

My Favourite Place in Andalucia: I love the beaches in Cádiz, they are spectacular. My favourites are Playa de Bolonia or Playa El Palmar.

My Favourite Spanish Dish: Gazpachuelo malagueño, which is a winter soup made from mayonnaise, potatoes and white fish. It might sound odd, but it’s absolutely delicious! I also love espeto de sardinas– skewered sardines cooked over wood- and you can’t beat a good paella, either!

Favourite Part of My Job: I love helping clients enjoy Andalucia and appreciate everything that makes it so special: its people, its culture, its beauty and history, its colour and light. Andalucia is unique!

I have studied Business and Tourism and I love travelling myself (kids permitting). I have lived and studied abroad some years and I love meeting people from other countries. Although life drove me into a job that had nothing to do with tourism, I always felt that I wanted to do something that I enjoyed. So I quit my job at banking with nothing but time to rethink where I wanted to go. Shortly after, TOMA & COE has given me the opportunity to do something I like and I feel passionate about. I have a good background of customer services and I am going to do my best to get great customer experience. I like the soul of TOMA & COE as I feel you get to know what locals do and where local go. Although I live by the sea and love it specially in the peaceful winter, I love driving inland to visit small villages, river pools, cycling routes or any other excuse to explore the beautiful inland areas that we have in Andalucia.

My favourite Place in Andalucia: This is the same as when someone asks you which one is your favorite son! But if I have to choose a place, I would say the Cabo de Gata in Almeria. The beaches in the middle of the natural Park surrounded by small white villages are just marvellous, I love spending time snorkelling around those cliffs.

My Favourite Spanish Dish: I love and enjoy cooking. I started helping in the kitchen in the family restaurant when I was just a child. I would say any “potaje” (they are wholesome hot soups); cazuela de patatas, cazuela de fideos, garbanzos con acelgas… in the summer I go for the famous cold soup gazpacho.

Favourite part of my job: When I travel I like feeling that I am not just one tourist more and I like to wander around the small streets looking for the real soul of a place; TOMA & COE gives you that experience.

Tour Guide

Mayte is another Malaga local and is lucky enough to call a beautiful farmhouse in the countryside her home. Mayte’s gift with people and her abundance of natural charm make her a huge hit with our clients! Her excellent cooking skills means she’s our go-to on anything gourmet, but she is equally happy showing our guests around the streets of Seville as she is in the kitchen.

My Favourite Place in Andalucia: I can never choose just one, because there’s so many places I love! But the province of Cádiz has everything: Beautiful beaches, wonderful people, and gorgeous little villages.

My Favourite Spanish Dish: I’ll have to back Fernando up here: gazpachuelo malagueño is one of my absolute favourites. I think you’ll find that’s the case amongst a lot of Malaga locals!

Favourite Part of My Job: One of the best things about TOMA & COE is its director, Manni Coe. The passion he has for what he does is limitless and completely contagious, for co-workers and clients alike. I also love showing people around Andalucia and helping them discover wonderful new places and leaving them with the desire to come back and see more!
